The HomesteadAn American Odyssey Home
A feature-length documentary about two lives shaped by war, migration, service, art, marriage and the long road home to Taos.
The film follows George and Evangeline through childhood, displacement and the separate journeys that eventually brought them together. It is also a living family archive: a record of memory, resilience and a seventy-one-year marriage.

An eight-week father–daughter program connecting photography, video, Lightroom, Final Cut Pro, MotionVFX and professional social-media delivery.
Each week moves from a short visual lesson to a practical Taos assignment, a simple equipment gate, post-production and an honest critique. The program is designed to develop technical control without flattening creative instinct.

George Geczy is a retired U.S. Army colonel, West Point graduate, documentary filmmaker and photographer.
His work is shaped by decades of leadership, travel and close observation—and by a growing conviction that family history deserves the same discipline and care as any public record. Misfit Ranch Productions brings that perspective to documentary film, photography and creative education.
Taos is both setting and collaborator: a landscape where family, history, art and endurance meet.
